Multicultural Greek Council

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) was established in 2006 and is the umbrella organization for individual cultural Greek organizations at the University of Oklahoma. It originated with 7 chapters and has grown to comprise of 13 chapters - 7 sororities and 6 fraternities. These include Asian interest, Latino interest, and Multicultural interest, and Native interest groups.

The purpose of the Multicultural Greek Council is to provide an alliance for Multicultural Greek students and to allow them to participate in Fraternity and Sorority Life on a grander scale.  It allows open communication between organizational members of the council and the outside community. 

Chapters in MGC serve various interest groups and celebrate the following cultures:

  • Asian interest
  • Latino interest
  • Multicultural interest
  • Native American interest
