Latino
Programs & Services

Latino Programs and Services (LPS) is one of four Multicultural Programs & Services (MCPS) units that support a variety of students at the University of Oklahoma. With guidance from MCPS, we strive to strengthen the OU experience through our pillars of Community, Leadership, and Advocacy.

What We Do

Programs

LPS hosts many annual programs that celebrate and honor our culture while enriching the OU community.

Hispanic American Student Association

The Hispanic American Student Association, commonly referred to as HASA, was established in 1981 at the University of Oklahoma. HASA organizes and supports programming that enhances student's educational, personal, and professional development.

Cultural Organizations

OU is home to many student organizations offering a wide variety of interests. Latino student organizations are essential in retaining the sense of community that sustains students in academic and professional achievement and development beyond graduation.

Fraternities & Sororities

Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services is home to social, service, identity-based, and special interest fraternities and sororities!

SOMOS Oklahoma

Latino Programs and Services is excited to announce the launch of our Strategic Plan entitled "Somos Oklahoma". Translated in English to "We Are Oklahoma", this bold theme acknowledges the presence of the Latinx/a/o community at the University of Oklahoma. In the last 10 years, our community has more than doubled on campus and continues to be one of the fastest growing. This strategic plan is a commitment to ensuring that our programs and services respond to the needs of our students.
