Hispanic American Student Association

The Hispanic American Student Association, commonly referred to as HASA, was established in 1981 at the University of Oklahoma. The purpose of the organization is to serve the university and surrounding community by emphasizing the culture, heritage, and traditions of the Hispanic/Latin American community at OU. HASA organizes and supports programming that enhances student's educational, personal, and professional development.

HASA is a Department Sponsored Organization and is advised by Latino Programs and Services with support from Multicultural Programs and Services and the Office of Student Life.

Membership

HASA membership is open to any enrolled student at the University of Oklahoma who is interested and committed to promote the Hispanic/Latinx community. Paid members are eligible to vote and receive an official HASA t-shirt. However, students do not have to be paid members to participate in HASA events and meetings.
