White Coat Ceremony
The White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2023 will be held on Saturday August 24 at 3pm at the University of Tulsa.
Immunizations, Drug Screens & Background Checks
Immunizations and TB test are required for each student yearly. First year students must submit their up to date immunization records typically by early August. The TB test will be conducted during Summer Institute and Prologue.
Drug screens and background checks are required annually. Each year you will receive information from the Student Services Office regarding fees, locations and other details.
BLS Certification
You will need to renew your BLS certification prior to entering third year rotations. Also, students will need to have completed their ACLS certification. You may complete this training at any site offering the course. St. John's Pulse Line has offered this course at a discount to incoming and current medical students in the SCM track.
Textbooks, T-Shirts & Other Supplies
OU SCM Students may purchase their textbooks and supplies through Ratcliffe's Textbooks in Oklahoma City. Ratcliffe's is more than happy to ship purchases to Tulsa if students are unable to visit their location near the OUHSC Campus. They also have an assortment of t-shirts and sweatshirts with the OU COM logo available for purchase.
