About the Professional Development & Leadership Academy
The OU-Tulsa Professional Development & Leadership Academy seeks to provide relevant and effective school leadership development programs of the highest quality to meet the needs of our constituents in the Tulsa area. Oklahoma schools are ever changing, and our program offers ongoing customization to support leadership today, tomorrow, and in the future.
Our programs are inspired by research and innovation throughout the U.S. and the world. However, our focus remains at home. PDLA programs are designed with a thorough understanding of Oklahoma schools, students and communities.
Effective and educated school leadership is critical to student and school success. The leadership development process is ongoing and happens at many levels within school districts and school sites.
In addition to interaction with experts and researchers, academy members have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers from area school districts. This networking allows for sharing of ideas and best practices, as well as new approaches to solving problems.
We recognize the need for leaders to minimize their time away from campus. We are committed to ensuring that our off-site meetings are meaningful and efficient. Additionally, program content and collaborative opportunities using the latest in technology allow participants to engage when their schedule allows, as well as from their home site.
