If your MHR degree has already been conferred, you may elect to be readmitted under the guidelines for the Master of Human Relations Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) concentration, degree code M200.  To qualify you must have already applied to the LPC Board and were listed active with the LPC Board as of 7/31/2018.  Courses cannot be older than seven (7) years old at the time of degree completion.  This will allow you to convert your MHR/LPC format to the required 60 hour program.  We no longer offer the LPC code.  All hours completed for the new MHR CMHC must meet the LPC Board approved curriculum for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentration as of August 1, 2018, and you will be required to take the comprehensive exam again.

9.     I have received my Master of Human Relations and completed additional hours towards LPC.  Will my previous MHR and/or LPC courses count?

Possibly.  Courses cannot be older than seven (7) years at the time of degree completion.  As of 08/01/2018 many of the previously approved courses for LPC are no longer accepted by the LPC Board.  Currently all students must comply with the August 1, 2018 curriculum to complete a 60 credit hour program. The former MHR/LPC format (36+24 format) is not accepted.  As of 08/01/2018, generic numbers HR 5100, 5110 and 5113 are not accepted by the LPC Board.  Each approved course must have its own course number and title.  Courses with generic course numbers must be replaced with courses on the current LPC Board approved list.
