What is TAO?
TAO is an interactive, web-based program that provides well-researched and highly effective strategies to help overcome anxiety, depression and other common concerns.
TAO online services are provided to OU students and employees for free!
Different Ways to Utilize TAO
TAO Connect can be utilized independently as a self-guided tool, consisting of educational and interactive modules, practice tools, journals and progress measures. The self-help option allows you to move through the courses at your own pace, when you’re feeling down and need encouragement, or visiting our mindfulness library when you need a moment to meditate.
If you’re receiving services with the UCC, TAO Connect can help supplement your sessions outside of business hours. You and your clinician can work together to develop an individualized plan with modules and practice tools that will allow you to continue the therapeutic process between sessions.
How to Get Started with TAO
Utilizing TAO Independently
First, you need to register as a user. Click on th link below to start the process. You wil be asked for your first and last name, your email address and then to create your password. You must utilize your OU email address in order to gain access to TAO.
Once you have completed registration, an email will be sent to your OU email account asking you to verify your email address. Once you have done so, you can return to the Login screen utilizing the same link below, and login into your TAO account.
After logging into your TAO Connect account, you can start to access content.
Utilizing TAO with a Counselor
If you are already receiving services with one of our providers, simply ask your provider about getting started with TAO.
If you are not already working with one of our providers, then you can schedule an intake appointment to get started. For more information about how to schedule an intake appointment for services, please click here.
You should register your account prior to downloading the APP. When prompted, click Login (not Register) and type in your OU email address.
