Below you'll find our best tips for academic success at OU. If you'd like more assistance consider attending a course-specific tutoring session or scheduling a study skills consultation.
Connect with Faculty
Your instructors are there to help you. And, they really do want to see you succeed. Don't be afraid to reach out and talk to them. You can ask questions about the course, or maybe discuss their experience and research.
Class sizes in college can have hundreds of students enrolled, even online! Office hours are a great place to get help with course material or get to know your professor more.
Plan your Coursework
The workload in college is a lot, and it can become overwhelming if left until the last minute. With activities coming from all sides – social, academic, professional, extracurricular, etc. – it can be hard to find enough hours in the day. Learning to manage time more efficiently can help students to better accomplish what they need and want to each day.
