Pre-Health and Pre-Medical Professions Advising

University College also advises pre-health major students seeking to enter professional health fields including communication sciences and disorders, dental hygiene, nursing, nutritional sciences, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician’s associate, radiologic technologies and veterinary medicine. The assistance of an advisor is especially important to the pre-health profession student who wants to complete his/her admission requirements while maintaining a competitive grade point average for admission to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (HSC).

Those interested in medical, podiatric, dental, optometry or physicians assistant graduate career programs can be advised in Cate 1, rooms 415-416 by the Pre-med Advisors. They operate on a by-appointment basis Monday-Friday and offer a breadth of information that is helpful when considering these career fields. Student can book appointments at iAdvise.ou.edu.

Representatives from the OUHSC host "First Fridays" on the first Friday of each month during the regular fall and spring semesters.  These staff from each of the HSC programs meet with students and answer questions about their degrees.
