About:

Born and raised in Michigan, I came to Oklahoma to attend OU.  As an out of state student who was very far from home, I originally intended to go back home to Michigan after graduating.  While attending OU, I fell in love with the campus, the people, and my future husband!  I consider Norman my adopted hometown and feel a great sense of pride for having graduated from OU.  Prior to working at OU, I was a high school Spanish and French teacher for 20 years.  In my spare time I enjoy learning languages, crafting, and spending time with my husband.

What do you like most about working with new students?

What I like most about working with new students is the sense of enthusiam they bring.  It is an honor to be a part of this new and exciting journey they are about to embark on.

What advice would you give first year students?

My advice to first year students would be to go to class (even when you don’t feel like it), get involved, and reach out for help when you need it.

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is Pocket Park.  As a very petite person, I really appreciate the tiny size of Pocket Park and think it is adorable.
