Enrollment Opens For Sooner Flight Academy Summer Camp

The OU Sooner Flight Academy is a K-12 program offered by the OU Department of Aviation and OU Outreach of the College of Continuing Education.

Children ages 6 through 18 can explore the exciting world of flight, at the OU Sooner Flight Academy summer camp during June and July. The five-day nonresidential camp offers children the opportunity to learn the principles of flight using science and mathematics as well as to experience a short airplane ride. Campers will participate in hands-on activities to demonstrate the science, technology, engineering and math that make up the world of flight.

Online registration is now open at flightcamp.ou.edu. A full list of dates, times, costs and scholarships is also available online.

Partial scholarships are funded by the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission and other private donors. The deadline to apply for scholarships is May 1. Extended Day Curriculum is also offered for an additional fee.

The OU Sooner Flight Academy, which is offering the camp for its 26th consecutive summer, is a K-12 program offered by the OU Department of Aviation and OU Outreach of the College of Continuing Education. The college provides summer and school year programs to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages inquiry and exploration with hands-on activities.
