Sooner Weekend: Chocolate Festival 2015, Laser Tag in the Union & More

#SoonerWknd: Chocolate Festival 2015, Laser Tag in the Union & More

Ever think you’d be playing laser tag in the Union? It’s on the table for this weekend, as is getting a sugar buzz on at a Norman chocolate festival.

Take your pick of these five local events coming up for this weekend.

Chocolate Festival 2015

If you want to spend your Saturday on a sugar high (let’s be real — who wouldn’t want that?) check out Chocolate Festival 2015, hosted by the Firehouse Art Center in Norman. This sugary sweet event requires tickets (you can get 10 samples for $25) and takes place from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Marriott Conference Center & Hotel.

Super Bowl Sunday

Apparently there’s this big football game happening Sunday? The Super Bowl, if we recall correctly? We’re not taking sides, but we hear the Seahawks have an OU alumnus (David King) on the roster, and that’s pretty darn cool. So get your friends, a comfy couch, some snacks … Wait, who are we kidding? You guys know the drill by now.

HSA Trivia Night

“Trivia Crack” can wait for a night. Put your phone down and step away to play the real deal. Get your trivia skills tested and meet the students who make up the Honors Student Association at HSA Trivia night from 6-9 p.m. Thursday in David L. Boren Hall Room 120.

‘Big Hero 6’ in the Union

Catch “Big Hero 6” before it hits Blu-ray/DVD by watching it for free in the Oklahoma Memorial Union’s Meacham Auditorium. Show times are 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and midnight Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. See more UPB-organized activities here.

Laser tag in the Union

Say what? More to do in the Union? Bring your friends and get ready to play some laser tag — for free — from 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Oklahoma Memorial Union. Plus, if you work up a sweat, you can totally count that as exercise.

Have an event you'd like promoted in Sooner Weekend? First check the OU Campus Calendar to make sure it's not already listed. If it's not — get it on there! Your event could be featured in an upcoming #SoonerWknd events roundup.
