COVID-19 Vaccination Information – OU Norman Campus

In partnership with local and state officials, OU Health Services at Goddard Health Center on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus will be administering the COVID-19 vaccine to students, faculty, and staff in alignment with the Oklahoma State Department of Health phased plan for distribution. There is no cost to receive the vaccine.

Vaccine Distribution Process – OU Norman Campus

Although most members of the OU Norman campus community will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 3, OU Health Services has received a limited supply of the vaccine and has been authorized to administer the vaccine to OU community members who meet Phase 1 criteria. Next week, it is anticipated that OU Health Services will receive another limited supply of the vaccine, allowing Phase 2 of vaccine distribution to begin on the Norman campus.

Beginning Monday, January 11, OU students, faculty, and staff over the age of 65 will receive an email from OU Health Services with information on how to schedule their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This will be a first-come, first-served opportunity and supplies are limited.

As Phase 2 continues and Goddard receives more doses of the vaccine, other populations who meet Phase 2 criteria will be invited to schedule a vaccine appointment. As more vaccine becomes available, OU Health Services will expand its list to offer the vaccine to other OU populations in subsequent phases. For more information, visit OU Health Services.

Vaccine Administration and Continued Vigilance

We encourage everyone to get vaccinated when they are eligible. When enough people get vaccinated, it makes the spread of COVID-19 from person to person unlikely and the whole community enjoys greater protection.

While we gradually ramp up our vaccination supply and distribution, all members of the OU community, including those who have been vaccinated, need to continue wearing a mask, physical distancing, and frequently washing hands to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
