NORMAN, OKLA. – Today, pending OU Board of Regents’ approval, the University of Oklahoma announced the appointment of Hollye Hunt as enterprise-wide executive director of governmental affairs, effective immediately. Hunt currently serves as OU Health’s vice president of external affairs where she manages legislative advocacy efforts. In her new combined role, she will lead the university’s and academic health system’s governmental agendas.

“We are fortunate to welcome Hollye to such a pivotal, new role within the university system,” said OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. “Her deep expertise in legislative advocacy and the breadth of experience she brings will undoubtedly advance our work with state and federal partners. Hollye is a trusted advocate within our state, and the university will certainly benefit from her leadership.”

The newly combined role is set to create greater consistencies in legislative relations across the university and health system.
