Program Description

OU Engineering students are among the most sought-after graduates in the nation. As the largest Engineering program in the state, the college gives its students unique opportunities such as the Sooner Racing Team, in which students build and race their own race car. Each of the college's seven schools ? Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Chemical and Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Petroleum and Geological Engineering ? gives its students multiple opportunities to apply their Engineering skills. The College of Engineering also houses more than 50 technical societies for students to become involved in, including the Engineering Club, Society of Women Engineers and Engineers Without Borders.

The Engineering Department has also recently began construction on two new facilities, Devon Energy Hall and the ExxonMobil Lawrence G. Rawl Engineering Practice Facility, which will give Engineering students new laboratories, a reference library and practice facilities to test experiments.
