The OU Sooner Flight Academy is pleased to announce its return to a full schedule of in-person summer flight camps for 2024. The weeklong on-site Summer Camps will take place throughout June and July and are designed to provide campers ages six to 18 with fun, immersive opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) as it relates to flight from an age-appropriate perspective.

Are you thinking about going to college? Apply today to attend the Find Your Future Summer Education Camp. Get a taste of college life by spending a week on the OU Norman campus with faculty and staff from the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. The camp seeks to recruit high school students from underserved populations interested in becoming educators to address the critical shortage of educators in Oklahoma and across the country. Participants are engaged in various experiences, reflect on their own educational experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others in their schools and in society. Find Your Future is open to all, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status, the program is offered free of charge.

Engineering Days are a set of one-day summer camps, broken down by specific academic majors, taught by OU Engineering faculty. These camps are a way for rising high school juniors and seniors to experience what OU Engineering has to offer on-campus. Each camp is highly collaborative and will allow for students to gain an insight into what an engineering student does.

OU Esports Camps programming is designed to cater to various audiences, exclusively tailored for competitive players. Led by coaches and captains from our official OU teams, our camps aim to develop competitive players and enhance their skill sets through mentorship and performance enhancement. Drawing from our active developments, our team comprises vetted upperclassmen, alumni, and ECCI employees, ensuring a diverse range of expertise and mentorship. We offer a comprehensive curriculum covering gameplay mechanics, teamwork, and leadership skills, providing impactful opportunities for potential recruits to OU and the next generation of Sooners. Our camps prioritize creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every camper feels supported and motivated to excel.

HSC Discovery Day is a one-day program, offered twice in the summer, intended for the purpose of exposing high school students to the numerous programs offered at the OU Health Sciences campus. The goal of HSC Discovery Day is to provide guidance toward a professional health career to high school students who have expressed an interest in the health sciences.
By attending HSC Discovery Day, participants will be able to describe action steps needed to pursue a career in the health sciences, given the chance to explore educational opportunities at OUHSC in depth, and identify best practices for resume building and interview skills. Students will participate in presentations from the seven academic colleges as well as the OU Norman Office of Admissions & Recruitment. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in medical simulations like intubation, surgery, and medical imaging.
The Great Plains Saxophone Workshop is a multi-day workshop open to high school through graduate-level saxophonists. Bass Bash is an annual four-day summer camp for middle and high school double bass students. The Summer String Academy is an annual intensive summer workshop focused on the study and performance of solo and chamber music repertoire for violin, viola, cello, and piano, and the Summer Jazz Collective is OU's newest jazz education experience. The Engineering Summer Bridge program serves as the premier transition program for Gallogly College of Engineering and Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy students. Each summer, incoming first-year students descend onto OU’s campus for this four-week, residential program, which seeks to provide students with academic and psychosocial support while exposing them to a wide array of professional skills critical to not only excelling as a student at OU but to adequately tackle the challenges facing our world.

Camp Crimson is OU’s official welcome to all new students. Before classes start, you will have a week full of connecting with other incoming students, learning about OU’s history and traditions, and getting to know campus. July 7 to August 2, 2024
If you're looking to get ahead on your college experience, consider Start Sooner! Start Sooner is an early start program that allows incoming freshmen to earn 6 hours of OU credit, move into your residence hall early, enjoy weekend trips to Oklahoma City and Tulsa, and connect with other incoming freshmen and upperclassmen before starting classes next fall. Start Sooner will be hosting its programming on-campus this summer from July 10 to August 4, and online programming will be available as well.
