Q&A with OU Black Royalty 2022


OU Black Royalty is a revitalized pageant that is celebrated on the last day of Black History Month. This year, four contestants took to the stage to be chosen as OU Black Royalty for 2022. Through an expansive collection of on-stage categories and interviews with judges, the pageant reveals the contestants' true passion for leadership, service, and cultural awareness on the OU campus.

“I’ve always gone to the former Mr. and Miss Black OU pageant since my freshman year, and I never felt like it was something I was capable of because it is such a big title for our community. It means so much to us as Black students on this campus. So to hear my name called was an unreal moment.”
