Admitted Student Day

Saturday, March 28, 2026

Admitted Student Day is a great opportunity to explore everything you still want to learn more about at OU. After an exciting opening session, students will connect with academic colleges at OU Up-Close sessions. The rest of the day is designed for you to explore OU by carving your own path – much like you can do as a student here!

  • Campus Tours – Explore the spaces on campus where you can hang out with friends, study, or grab a bite to eat as you are led by our current OU tour guides! Our housing living communities will also be open for students to envision their first-year experience ahead of room selections.
  • Open Houses – Join our many campus departments and programs to see the unique experiences OU students can have while on campus. Open houses will be held by the Honors College, Office of Student Life, Fitness + Recreation, and more!
  • Post-Admissions Center – We will have a space dedicated to celebrating your admission (photo ops!), connecting you with other prospective students, learning more about orientation, and helping you navigate financial questions to complete your post-admission checklist!

Session Descriptions

During the opening session, you will hear from current student leaders at OU and receive a warm welcome from OU leadership. We will walk you through what to expect at the event and answer common questions you may have at this stage of the post-admissions process. We are excited to kick off the event and start the celebration with you all!

During this time, you will have the opportunity to connect with the academic college of your choice and learn more about engagement, classroom experiences, faculty, programs, career opportunities, and more within your specific area of interest!

If you are unsure of what academic college your major falls into, check here.

Campus tours will last approximately 45-minutes and be offered throughout the day. Tours are led by current OU student guides who will show you a behind the scenes look at campus.

All incoming first-year students are guaranteed an on-campus housing experience. Many on-campus residence halls will be open this day for you to walk through and explore our various living community options. You will get to take a closer look at what distinguishes each living option as well as see where each community is on campus.

To start exploring housing at OU, you can learn more about the different residence halls and navigate the varying housing rates per community. Meal plan information is also available online.

Each student attendee will be able to register for a free ticket to eat lunch at Couch Restaurants anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each guest will be able to purchase a meal ticket as well. If you would like to eat lunch on your own around near campus or Norman, you are also welcome to do that!

To help with Couch Restaurants meal time capacity, you will select a time to each lunch upon registration. We ask that all guests honor this dining window.

There is so much more to explore! Stop by an open house to learn more about different resources, departments, and programs across campus! Specific open houses offered will be shared on the event schedule and map for the day.

Open Houses include:

  • E-Sports and Co-Curricular Innovation
  • Honors College
  • Student Life
  • Academic Success Center
  • Fitness and Recreation
  • and many more!

These 25-minute information sessions will be given throughout the day by OU’s MidFirst Bank MoneyCoaches and will help you learn more about paying for OU and the basics of financial aid.

Learn more about different campus programs, resources, and student organizations during the involvement fair. We'll have staff available to help you navigate your next steps and answer any questions you may have. A great starting point is checking your OU Bound portal to see what you still may need to complete ahead of the event day.

During this time, you can ask about:

  • Paying your enrollment deposit
  • Camp Crimson
  • Completing your housing contract
  • Financial and Scholarship specific questions
  • Parent & Family Programs at OU
  • Start Sooner Early Start Program
  • Other programs/resources/information needed
