SCAUG Conferences

Dedicated members of the SCAUG community

The faculty and staff at CSA are dedicated members of the South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG), regularly attending and presenting at each of the group's four annual user group meetings across the state, its annual regional conference in Texas, and the Oklahoma chapter's annual conference in Oklahoma City. CSA shares SCAUG's mission of promoting the sharing and exchange of ideas, information, and techniques among GIS students and professionals.

In 2022, CSA staff member Candace Perry was awarded first place in the OKSCAUG's Web Based Experience competition for her work on the OKlahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry's Red Imported Fire Ant dashboard. In 2023, CSA staff members Daniela Spade and Candace Perry were awarded second place in the Regional SCAUG conference's map contest for their poster outlining the key projects and services offered by CSA. Also at the 2023 Regional SCAUG conference, CSA was awarded the SCAUG Thumbs Up Award in recognition of the center's commitment to the group. Staff member Daniela Spade was awarded first place in the OKSCAUG's 2023 Web Based Experience competition for her work demonstrating how CSA is bringing modern GIS to students at the University of Oklahoma.
