We will also assist Jim and his farm assistant with planting saplings from Oklahoma Forestry Services in the bottomland forest area.
OBS is collaborating with the Choctaw Cultural Center and Okies for Monarchs to host an educational field day and mini BioBlitz! on Saturday October 11, 12-4 p.m. in the tallgrass prairie remnant at the Choctaw Cultural Center, just south of Durant. This free event will highlight plant diversity, monarch butterfly conservation, and the cultural significance of preserving this beautiful patch of unplowed prairie.
