February 28 - Piers Nature Conservancy Tree Planting Day

Walk and Talk with Botantist, Amy Buthod, Conservation biologist, Priscilla Crawford, and Executive Director, Jim Kee-Rees.

We will also assist Jim and his farm assistant with planting saplings from Oklahoma Forestry Services in the bottomland forest area.

November 15 - Mohawk Park Seed Collection

OBS is co-hosting a seed collection day at the Oxley Nature Center in Mohawk Park, Tulsa. 

November 14 - Lake Thunderbird State Park Seed Collection

OBS is co-hosting a seed collection day at the Lake Thunderbird State Park, Norman.  All seeds collected will be kept for revegetation within the park. 

October 11 - Choctaw Cultural Center Mini BioBlitz!

OBS is collaborating with the Choctaw Cultural Center  and Okies for Monarchs to host an educational field day and mini BioBlitz! on Saturday October 11, 12-4 p.m. in the tallgrass prairie remnant at the Choctaw Cultural Center, just south of Durant.  This free event will highlight plant diversity, monarch butterfly conservation, and the cultural significance of preserving this beautiful patch of unplowed prairie.
