Using the Collections

The Carl Albert Center is committed to providing free and equal access to all of its open congressional and political collections. With this in mind, its reading room is available to anyone wishing to consult records from the Center's holdings.

Please keep in mind that appointments are required to use the reading room.

It should be noted that some collections are closed to the public or are stored at an offsite facility. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to contact one of the archivists at the Carl Albert Center prior to visiting. Doing so will help ensure that all materials are accessible and can be retrieved in advance to help make each research trip as productive as possible.

Researchers should familiarize themselves with the following policies prior to their visit. Individuals who intend to use materials from the collections will also receive forms outlining these rules in detail upon their arrival at the Center.
