We were pleased to welcome a campus visit from Abigail Echo-Hawk with the Urban Indian Health Institutue. She delivered a number of powerful trainings during her visit, including a campus-wide lecture and a smaller Lunch-and-Learn training about "Decolonizing Data" and an evening reception honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Our partners at the Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage, AK conducted a training for students to develop systematic notetaking skills to be implemented in conjunction with the NWA PGRN National Meeting to be helf in Seattle, WA.

The Sovereignty Series is a collection of lectures and presentations hosted by the American Indian-Alaska Native Clinical Translational Research Program (AI/AN-CTRP). The series covered a range of topics related to the importance of tribal sovereignty throughout the research process.

Students and staff were able to attend the virtual offerings of the NCAI Tribal Leader/Scholar Forum. This is regularly one of the conferences that we enjoy attending, so we look forward to when we are able to attend in person once again,

Qualitative Research Trainings, ongoing. Dr. Vanessa Hiratsuka (Navajo/Winnemem Wintu) is part of the leadership team of the Center for the Ethics of Indigenous Genomic Research. Her research interests include cultural adaptation of chronic disease and behavioral health interventions for tribal communities and health systems analysis.
