photo of Lori Snyder

Dr. Lori Snyder (lsnyder@ou.edu) is an Associate Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and an affiliate faculty at the Center for Applied Social Research.

One of Dr. Snyder's main research foci is the experience of underrepresented groups in the workplace, including women, ethnic minorities, and persons with disabilities.  She recieved her PhD from Colorado State University in 2004.

Dr. Joy Pendley (pendley@ou.edu ) is a Associate Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence, Director of Community Engagement at the University of Oklahoma and a Research Scientist at the Center for Applied Social Research. 

Dr. Pendley's research interests are interdisciplinary in anthropology, community development, political economy and sustainability.  She is not only interested in the sustainability of research in economic terms but in the cultural appropriateness of programs and the ability of a project to develop collaborative relationships within communities that build capacity.   She recieved her PhD from the University of Oklahoma in 2007.

Katie Holloway is a 5thyear doctoral candidate in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at the University of Oklahoma. Her current research focuses on the diverse experiences of students in higher education and ethnic identity development. In her free time, Katie loves weightlifting, cooking, hiking, and playing with her dog, Cece.

Cooper Delafield is a 4th year Ph.D. Student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at the University of Oklahoma. He currently researches student experiences of subtle discrimination. For fun, Cooper likes to watch movies, cook, and play dungeons and dragons.

Amanda Stephens is a 3rd year Ph.D. Student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at the University of Oklahoma. She currently researches occupational health, especially stress and burnout. For fun, Amanda likes to run with her friends, play basketball/most sports, and spend time with her husband.

 Raechel Sanger is a 1st year Ph.D. student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at the University of Oklahoma. Her current research focuses on family-supportive work environments and work-family conflict. For fun, Raechel likes to cook, watch movies, knit, and play board games.


Undergraduate Research Emily Black

Emily Black is  a sophomore psychology pre-med student at the University of Oklahoma. She is planning to get her medical degree in Adolescent Psychiatry.  She plans to offer an Indigenous perspective in treating mental health issues in the Indigenous youth space. She also loves spending time with friends, watching documentaries and creating beadwork.

Undergraduate Researcher Taylor Pierce

Taylor Pearce is in the second year of her undergraduate program majoring in Psychology with a minor in Native American Studies. She plans to pursue a graduate program in the future and work within Indigenous communities. Taylor enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing, and watching her favorite TV shows.
