Chris Bingham

Dr. Bingham’s research examines digital media production practices and videogame culture. Taking a critical/cultural studies approach, Chris interrogates the social norms of production to map their relationship to neoliberal worldviews. Chris’s work has appeared in the journal Convergence, and edited volumes such as The 100 Greatest Video Game Characters (2017) and Neoliberalism, Economic Radicalism, and the Normalization of Violence (2016). Chris regularly teaches courses on videogames, participatory media, media controversies, and writing.
