Student Organization

Health and Exercise Science Student Association

The purpose of the Health and Exercise Science Student Association (HESSA) is to provide an enviroment whereby undergraduate students can intact with HES faculty members and other departmental staff on both social and professional levels in such a way as to enhance the cohesiveness and effectiveness of the Health and Exercise Science Department. Each year HESSA plans activities that help support students and foster relationships across the department and university.

Joining HESSA will allow you to get to know professors in this department in an informal setting. Joining is also a good way to meet other students pursing the HES major and similar career fields. Additionally, HESSA will introduce students to new professional contacts, which is beneficial when developing a network of faculty, advisors, mentors, and professionals.

Membership fees are $25 per year or $15 per semester. You can join HESSA and pay membership fees online during the fall and/or spring semesters or complete a membership form and submit it with payment at the HES front desk.
