OU College of Arts and Sciences Welcomes Dr. Greg Burge as Associate Dean for Academic Programs

The Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Burge will serve as the college’s next Associate Dean for Academic Programs beginning August 16, 2025.

Dr. Burge joined the OU Department of Economics in 2006 after earning his Ph.D. from Florida State University. Over nearly two decades at OU, he has served in many leadership roles, including Director of Graduate Studies, Department Chair, and as a member of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, Faculty Welfare Committee, and the President’s Advisory Council on Post-Tenure Review.

He has published widely in housing, labor, sports, and public economics, and is the recipient of multiple awards for his research and teaching, including the Oklahoma Regent’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, the OU General Education Teaching Award, and the State of Oklahoma Medal of Excellence in Teaching Award.

As Associate Dean, Dr. Burge will serve as the college’s chief liaison to the Senior Vice Provost for Student Success and will lead initiatives related to curriculum development, enrollment management, and the college’s instructional mission.
