Congratulations to Xiaoshuang (Iris) Luo, who successfully defended her Master’s thesis “Is there a Marriage or Parenthood Income Penalty among Police?: A Case Study of Occupational Gender Inequality in the Public Sector." Her committee included Martin Piotrowski, Trina Hope, and Cyrus Schleifer (Chair). Iris has been admitted and will be attending the University of California at Irvine’s PhD program in Criminology, Law, and Society – Ranked 3rd in the Nation – in fall 2018.
