Professor Carrillo received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research has received support from the Fulbright Association and the National Science Foundation, and has been published in leading sociology and interdisciplinary journals, including Current Sociology, Rural Sociology, Sociological Perspectives, and Journal of Peasant Studies.
