I would tell anyone that if you have the chance to study abroad, take it!! There is truly nothing that a classroom can teach you like studying abroad can. It helps you learn and grow in a new way while being surrounded by unfamiliarity and rich culture. Studying abroad is an experience that I think all students should have during their time in college. Being in Europe helps to change a person's views on how we live our lives in America and makes you think in a new and challenging way.

The University of Oklahoma has opened two new International Study Centers in Puebla, Mexico and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Along with our popular Italian center in Arezzo, Italy, these destinations will provide exciting opportunites for OU students to study abroad with OU professors and take OU courses taught in English at a cost comparable to spending a semester on campus.
Presidential International Travel Fellowship
The Presidential International Travel Fellowship or "PITF" is a scholarship created by OU President David L. Boren to support international travel for study abroad. Student awards will be given on a competitive basis to qualified students whose financial needs are not being met by other channels.
