Seymour Feiler Scholarship

This scholarship was created out of the initiative and generosity of Eliot Feiler to honor his uncle, Seymour Feiler, who was a devoted professor of French in the Department of Modern Languages for many years. He was also very involved in Education Abroad and helped many international students while on campus. This scholarship assists undergraduate students at the University of Oklahoma who wish to study abroad in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Awards are given on a demonstrated need basis to qualified undergraduate students.  Awards are based on various factors, such as: (1) student financial need; (2) GPA; and (3) whether student is studying in Clermont-Ferrand during the fall and/or spring semester. 
 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be full-time, regularly enrolled undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma planning to study in Clermont-Ferrand, France during the fall and/or spring semester
  • Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must demonstrate a financial need
  • Applicants may not be an immediate family member of the Donor
     

Deadline: February 1

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Any student unable to complete the program will be required to return the full amount of the award to the College of International Studies.
