Since 2004, the Center for Middle East Studies (CMES) at the University of Oklahoma has served as the leading hub for research on the Middle East and North Africa, student learning, and community engagement in Oklahoma. Housed in the College of International Studies, the Center fosters intellectual dialogue, cultural exchange, and educational excellence in collaboration with scholars and students across the university and beyond.

Inviting scholars, diplomats, and professionals.
Co-sponsoring programs with other departments and organizations.
Support language programs affiliated with the Center through outreach activities, events, and language fairs.
Providing support for students, internships, and study abroad.
Organizing informal student-faculty get-togethers to build community for everyone with an interest in the center’s mission and objectives.
