Join the CIS Center for Student Success for a unique opportunity for a recruitment information session from the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency).
Career CIA officers will provide a brief on the CIA and the 5 directorates that make up the organization, and how they work together and interface with the rest of the Intelligence community. The primary focus will be on the Directorate of Operations and how University of Oklahoma students might become CIA officers in the future. There will be a detailed portion on the hiring process for potential applicants.
The CIA is the United States Intelligence Community's primary leader in the collection of Human intelligence.

CIS End-of-Semester Winter Wonderland Social
Join the CIS Center for Student Success for its end-of-semester social, hosted by the 2025-2026 CIS Ambassadors. At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to make snowflakes, decorate winter cookies and create winter snap crackers!

Academic life coaches work with students to help them identify stressors and establish academic goals. Coaches can assist students in areas such as time management, finding a sense of belonging in college, developing study habits, building support networks, and identifying core values.
> Students will typically meet with their coach every 2-3 weeks.
> Coaching is free of charge.

Provides 1-on-1 interaction between an Academic Life Coach and first-year student.
A safe and non-judgmental space is established in order to build a trusting relationship with each individual student.
Encourage positive support to reduce stress and facilitate action for improvement.
Coaches facilitate the discovery of appropriate tools and techniques that best motivate students to propel their success, enhance learning, and reach significant milestones.
Students learn vital strategies, such as building positive time management and study systems, creating a healthy life and academic balance, and establishing beneficial support networks.
Students become empowered and understand how to unite their major and career choices to their passions and individual values.

Christina Troxtell is the Academic Life Coach for the College of International Studies. Christina graduated with a bachelor's degree from The University of Oregon, majoring in Political Science and International Studies. She then received her Master of Business Administration from St. Gregory's University.
Christina has worked in education all of her career, beginning as an elementary school teacher in Kuwait. Before coming to the University of Oklahoma, she worked in admissions and student life at OSU-OKC. She has been an academic life coach at the University of Oklahoma for three years.
