All CEES undergraduate students must meet with both the CEES academic advising team and their assigned faculty advisor each semester. Advising holds are lifted only after both meetings are completed.
CEES students admitted to the Gallogly College of Engineering who meet retention standards and have no outstanding holds (such as unpaid fines, overdue library books, or parking tickets) are eligible for advance registration.
Fall registration occurs in the preceding spring semester.
Spring/summer registration occurs in the preceding fall semester.
Registration times are determined by classification and the alphabetical order of students’ last names.
Visit GCoE's advising page for additional information.
Before each registration period, CEES holds mandatory group advising sessions for all undergraduate students.
Session details are emailed to students each semester.
Attendance is required for advance registration.
Students who do not attend must wait until the end of the registration period to be advised.
All appointments must be scheduled through iAdvise. Walk-in advising is not guaranteed.

Before enrolling in any course, make sure you meet all prerequisites. Curriculum flowcharts and course descriptions for CEES undergraduate programs are available under the “Related Links” section on this page.
Prerequisites are strictly enforced for all CEES courses. Students who enroll without meeting them—and without prior approval—will be administratively removed. A minimum grade of “C” or better is required in all prerequisite courses.
All CEES students must complete one of the following capstone courses before graduation:
These courses are offered only in the spring semester and are intended for students graduating in that spring or the following summer or fall.
Students planning to graduate in summer or fall must have completed at least 90 credit hours in their program before enrolling in the capstone course.
Note: All prerequisites must be met prior to enrollment. Students who do not meet prerequisites or obtain prior approval will be administratively removed from the course.
All engineering students enrolled in a capstone course are required to attempt the FE exam.
