The CEES 4423 Professional Internship provides students with valuable hands-on experience in civil and environmental engineering, environmental science, and architectural engineering. Designed to integrate academic learning with real-world application, the program requires students to complete 400 hours of professional internship work, supported by faculty oversight and supervisor evaluations.
Students prepare a proposal prior to beginning their internship, then complete a comprehensive written report and oral presentation upon return. Offered in the fall semester, this course equips students with practical skills, professional development, and elective credit while strengthening the connection between classroom knowledge and industry practice.
