The School of Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma has experienced unprecedented growth. Our enrollment has reached record levels, and our faculty are leading nationally recognized research in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Human–Computer Interaction, Robotics, and High-Performance Computing.  Our applied research spans Aerospace and Defense, Human Health, Energy, and Environmental Sciences, addressing real-world challenges in command-and-control systems, embedded software, severe weather prediction, sensor and network security, Internet of Things, and advanced data-driven decision-making. As demand for computing talent accelerates, OU Computer Science stands at the forefront of innovation and workforce development.

To sustain this momentum and support our rapidly expanding community, we are focused on:

• Expanding scholarships, fellowships, and mentorship programs to ensure students success.
• Growing our faculty and research capabilities in critical areas such as AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, and large-scale data systems to meet the needs of industry, government, and society.
• Enhancing laboratories, teaching spaces, and research infrastructure to provide students with hands-on, cutting-edge real-world experiences that address societal challenges.
• Developing new academic programs, interdisciplinary initiatives, and industry partnerships that prepare students for emerging technology careers both in Oklahoma and globally.
• Increasing professional staff support to strengthen student services, improve faculty productivity, and elevate overall student experience and outcomes.
