Flow Reactors

pyroprobe
Custom CDS pyroprobe with autosampler coupled to homebuilt packed bed reactor. Reactor has 6 port valves to allow for either pulses or continuous flow of model compounds into the packed bed reactor. Vapor stream enters Shimdazu GC split to both MS and FID detectors. Light gases are quantified with online MKS MS connected to vent line.

Access to 7 plug flow reactors coupled to a GC-FID capable of operating at atmospheric or high pressure.

Fluidized Bed Reactors

Three fluidized bed reactors coupled with mass flow controllers and syringe pump injection ports for carbon nanotube synthesis. One of the reactors is designed for high pressure operation.

Batch Reactors

Parr reactor 1

We have access to 11 Parr autoclave reactors, each coupled with mass flow controllers, pressure relief valves, refrigerated recirculators, and a pressure regulator.

photocatalytic reactor

Coupled with online MKS mass spec and mass flow controllers to quantify gas phase products. System is housed in a tinted UV blocking ventilated enclosure, cooled with a refrigerated recirculating bath.
