DISC is pleased to announce our seed funding opportunity for Spring 2026. As in previous rounds of funding, we plan to make multiple awards across our three tracks: Faculty, Graduate Students, and Postdoctoral Researchers. These awards will support data-enabled, AI-driven, and interdisciplinary research while advancing DISC’s mission and OU’s strategic research areas. For faculty, we are introducing new DISC Nexus awards that will support interdisciplinary research efforts by offering larger funding amounts and higher levels of DISC engagement with the research teams to support their work. The awards for postdoctoral researchers and graduate students will remain the same. We will shift from multiple rounds of review to a single competition with the same due date for all types of awards.
To view the full requirements for each track, please review the funding opportunity announcement: DISC 2026 Seed Funding Announcement. Please note that Appendix A includes the rubrics used to score applications.
To submit a proposal, please follow this link and complete the online submission form and upload your proposal. DISC 2026 Spring Seed Funding Opportunity – Submission Form
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since this is an internal seed funding competition, indirect costs should not be included. Your total budget should include only direct costs, up to the maximum amount allowed for your track.
For any questions, please email Yessenia Torres at jimeney2@ou.edu.
