How to Apply

Your home university will nominate you to the University of Oklahoma as a reciprocal exchange student. Nominated students then must submit a complete exchange student application to Education Abroad at the University of Oklahoma.The applications are sent to Education Abroad by your home university’s international office or designated person. The applications may be sent by fax, scanning or mail.The forms below are in a PDF format. You will need Adobe's Acrobat reader on your computer to open the files. If you do not have Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download a free version of it.A complete application contains:

  1. University of Oklahoma international student application Complete only pages 1, 2 and 4.  All sections on each page must be completed. Fee-paying students from partner universities also must complete page 3, "Confidential Financial Information."  No application fee is required.
  2. Course Preferences Form
  3. Agreement of Understanding
  4. Medical Information Form (optional)
  5. J-1 visa information sheet and required supporting documents:
    • Current bank statement showing $5,000 USD for one semester or $10,000 USD for two semesters, dated within 90 days of being submitted
    • If bank account statement is from a parent’s account, Parental Support Letter must be included
  6. Academic record (grades and courses)
  7. Copy of main passport page. If no passport is available, a copy of your national identity card. If neither is available, please contact us.

Deadlines for Receipt of Application:

  • April 30th for the August semester
  • October 30th for the January semester
