OU Piano Experience Day

OU Piano Experience Day

Next event: November 2026

The OU piano area invites high school pianists to join us for OU Piano Experience Day. This event is open to upper-intermediate through advanced high school pianists who have studied piano for at least four years.

Participants will receive a private lesson from a piano faculty member and enjoy a day filled with musical activities, including a faculty recital, a duet sight-reading workshop, a keyboard literature session, and a studio class featuring performances by OU undergraduate and graduate students.

All participants are asked to bring two pieces of solo piano literature. One piece should be fully learned and polished, ready for performance in the Showcase Recital. The second piece will be used during the private lesson with a piano faculty member.

Lunch will be provided for all participants.

We look forward to welcoming high school pianists for a day of music and learning at the University of Oklahoma.

Showcase Recital

Students will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase recital at the conclusion of the camp day. The performance will begin at 2:15 pm in Sharp Concert Hall, and family and friends are invited to attend. We encourage all students to take part in this performance opportunity. No video submissions are required to participate in the showcase recital.
