Betty J. Robbins, (Ph.D. American Literature, OU), clinical professor, is the Director of Business Communication in the Price College where she has received awards as an Exxon Teaching Fellow and a Hurley Roberson Award for Teaching Excellence. Since 1987, she has taught numerous film courses, including Violence in American Cinema, Sex and the Cinema, a variety of courses on women in film and psychoanalytic film theory, and, most recently added Children's Cinema to her offerings. She has published in the London journal Gender Studies . She also teaches regularly in the Women's Studies Program at OU. In the spring of 2005, Dr. Robbins taught one of President Boren’s first Dream Courses, titled “Women Filmmakers Up Close,” in collaboration with Dr. Horton.
