Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, Dr. Palacios earned both her Bachelor and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees from Virginia Tech, followed by a Ph.D. in Environment and Planning from the University of Georgia. Her research explores the pedagogical dynamics of the design studio and examines the role of greenbelts and green corridors in shaping urban and rural environments.
