Matthew (Mat) Reed is the Senior Program Coordinator/Creating_Making Lab Manager at the University of Oklahoma. He supports the operations of the Creating_Making and Digital_Making Labs, working closely with students, faculty, and administrators to facilitate hands-on learning, research, and creative experimentation.
His work focuses on lab operations, user training, equipment and material consultation, and maintaining a strong culture of safety within shared technical spaces. He encourages students to approach projects with curiosity, problem-solving, and creative exploration.
Mat is also a practicing artist with a background in art education. He has participated in multiple exhibitions and competitions and has completed mural work around the state and has completed murals at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Central Oklahoma.
