College of Architecture Student Team Places Third in the Design-Build Institute of America’s 2017 National Competition

During the 2017 Design-Build Conference and Expo in Philadelphia, OU team members Hannah Lang (captain), Matthew Festa, Zach Parnell, Anika Saynyarack, and Jafer Alnasser presented the team’s proposal for a student health and wellness facility to a jury of eight judges. Proposals were evaluated based on their delivery solutions and demonstration of team collaboration and synergy to solve design-build problems. The competition was tight, with only a three-point difference separating first and third place. Faculty advisers for the team were Prof. Tammy McCuen and Assoc. Prof. Dan Butko.
