Associate professor of Architecture Anthony Cricchio, in collaboration with GCA alumnus Jessica Hester and her firm Verdant Studio, participated in the international London Affordable Housing Challenge this past fall.

Their submission, “The Viaduct” (shown above), was honored as a shortlisted project in the competition. Their collaboration was funded by a GCA Program for Research Enhancement (PRE) grant.

The grant made it possible to place Cricchio within a small design firm to collaborate on an architecture competition. Then, they documented how the costs of participating in the competition could be beneficial to the firm through marketing exposure and employee development.

To view all of the shortlisted projects, check out the London Affordable Housing Challenge webpage.
