Faculty and Students Visit Citizen Potawatomi Nation

On May 4, 2019, Regional and City Planning faculty and students visited Citizen Potawatomi Nation (CPN) with Dr. Jim Collard, Regional and City Planning Professor of Practice and Director of Planning and Economic Development for CPN.

The group visited the tribe’s Eagle Aviary and Heritage Center. Drs. Raymond Orr of OU Native American Studies and Yancey Orr also joined the group.

The OU Institute for Quality Communities (IQC) 2024 collaboration with the Historic Threatt Filling Station has been recognized in the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's newly released Byways Report: The Scenic Route to Rural Prosperity – a story-driven publication exploring how road trip culture and place-based tourism can fuel economic growth in rural communities.
