June 19, 1997 – July 27, 2020

Jill Rene Kozlowski, 23, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on July 27, 2020. Jill was born to parents Eric and Ellen Kozlowski, on June 19, 1997.

She attended All Saints Catholic School, Alcott Middle School, and graduated from Norman High School in 2015. She was a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Jill is survived by her parents Eric and Ellen Kozlowski, her sisters Marilyn Kozlowski and Alyssa Ham, Brother-in-Law Dwight Ham, Grandfather Richard Kozlowski, Grandmother Rolleen Boling, her uncle Clint Boling and his wife Kelli, her aunt Karen Barry and cousin Justin Barry. Jill was preceded in death by her Grandmother Joan Kozlowski and Grandfather Doyle Boling.

Jill was attending the University of Oklahoma majoring in Architecture and was a recipient of the GH2 Achievement Scholarship. Her love of math, physics, art, and design inspired her to pursue architecture.

Jill enjoyed discussing architecture and construction with her father Eric, also an architect, and other family members. She was apprenticing with her father Eric during the summer, and planned to join his company for her internship after graduation from the Gibbs College of Architecture.

Music was one of Jill’s passions. In addition to being a talented saxophonist, Jill frequently attended concerts and festivals with her friends. She lettered in band all 4 years and won the Louis Armstrong Award at Norman High in 2015. She also was in the All State Jazz Band her senior year of high school.

Some of her fondest memories were from participating in Norman High School’s marching band. Jill adored animals and nature. There was a special place in her heart for Heathcliff, the Kozlowski family cat. Jill enjoyed walking, knitting, video games, board games, cycling and swimming.

She loved to try new things and recently learned how to rollerblade. Jill dreamed of traveling and visiting her friends and family across the United States. The love Jill had for her friends and family will be forever cherished. She touched many lives and will be missed greatly.

Services in Jill’s memory were held on August 5th, 2020 at St. Marks the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has elevated Gary Armbruster, FAIA, ALEP to its prestigious College of Fellows—AIA’s highest membership honor—for his exceptional work and sustained contributions to architecture and society. Fellowship recognizes architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant impact at a national level. Members elevated to this distinction carry the FAIA designation after their name.

Spring 2026 Design Studio Exhibits Work at OU School of Visual Arts

Students from the Spring 2026 Graduate 4 Architecture Design Studio, led by Professor Amy Leveno, exhibited their work at the School of Visual Arts. The exhibition, titled Reimagining the OU School of Visual Arts, featured drawings, models, and animations developed throughout the semester's studio project. The show was hosted in The Spotlight, a creative gallery space located on the first floor of the Fred Jones Art Center, and ran from January 20–30, 2026.
