Assistant professor of architecture Deborah Richards was recently awarded the 2019-2020 Division of Architecture Gibbs Research Fellowship (a three year title and award) for her current and future computational design research. Richards will allocate the funds towards continued research in the intersection of computational design and community engagement: digital placemaking.
Dr. Stephanie Pilat initiated this prestigious recognition during the 2018-2019 academic year. The fellowship will annually recognize a new recipient for excellence in research and scholarly activity. Richards joins last year’s recipient, associate professor Daniel Butko who is also serving as Gibbs Research Fellow.
