Architecture professor Marjorie Callahan is slated to teach a Presidential Dream Course in Fall 2020 entitled “Re-imagining a jail for Oklahoma City,” which will center around using architecture and design to lower generational cycles of incarceration, particularly when women are incarcerated.
Callahan was recently interviewed by The Oklahoman for an article about the class that was published on March 5, 2020.

Telesis, a journal produced by students in the University of Oklahoma Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture, has earned first place in the 2026 Douglas Haskell Award for Student Journals for its seventh volume, “Unfold.” This marks the fourth time the publication has earned recognition for excellence in student architectural journalism. It shares the honor with student journals from Columbia University, University of Michigan, and Cal Poly.
