“PIVOT: A Turning Point for Youth” was recently recognized by ULI Oklahoma for its Tiny Homes Project with the “Outstanding Community Building Effort” Impact Award. The 501(c)3 non-profit organization invited local architects to donate their services for the design of 280 square foot homes as part of their 85-home campus master plan.

Gibbs College faculty Deborah Richards of Script Architecture and Hans E. Butzer of BAU_Butzer Architects and Urbanism both saw their respective firms donate designs for tiny homes to the effort.

Currently in construction, the homes can be seen at the PIVOT site near NE 50th St. and N Walnut Ave in Oklahoma City.

Norman-based developer and sculptor Richard McKown helped lead the effort that resulted in government funding for this important initiative.
