Master of Urban Design student Sherry Marie Smith presented her Professional Project to the City of Coweta City Council on May 3, 2021.
Sherry’s project included the planning, programming, and design of a new municipal park. Located on a beautiful wooded site in the Coweta Creek floodplain, Cottonwood Park will feature a playground, a picnic grounds and shelter, a dog park, pollinator gardens, and much more. Sherry identified two grants to fund the park’s construction that the city hopes to apply for this summer.
Congratulations, Sherry!
